How to Display Your Action Figures
Do you have a great collection of action figures? Instead of placing them in your room where only you can see it, why not display it for all your friends to see? Here are some guidelines on how to make an action-figure museum in your home.
First, pick out a place in your house. You do not need to have a separate room for it if your collection is not extremely large. In fact, you can just utilise an unused corner or wall. Next, buy a shelf that can accommodate all your pieces. It is a good idea not to opt for an open shelf because that allows the dust to settle on your items, ruining your collection. Instead, buy one that has a glass slide panelling. The panels protect your collection from dust and dirt while allowing people to view it through the glass. For a nice touch, have an electrician install miniature halogen or light emitting diode (LED) lights inside your display shelf. Lights can definitely highlight your choicest figures. Just make sure to choose lamps that do not generate lots of heat to avoid damaging your items.
Next, organise your collection. For example, sci-fi figures may be placed on the middle shelf while sports action figures, just right above it. Superheroes can be situated at the lowest shelf. Organising your collections incorporates a "themed" look to your display. Finally, if you have mint-condition figures that are still in their original packaging, you can hang the packages on the wall. Line the wall with small hooks, making sure that they are aligned. Hang the packages by the tab that is used to display them in the store.
